A used teabag really has so much life left. It makes a wonderful printed image when placed to dry on a piece of watercolour paper. When dry and the tealeaves are removed, there is a small piece of fine paper with delicate naturally made markings. It is ready to use for collage or to draw on. The tealeaves themselves have potential as natural earthy ‘glitter’ waiting to be sprinkled as a finishing touch on a piece of artwork. This piece, created on an 8″ x 8″ wooden panel, was made for a friend who loves nature. It includes teabags, teabag prints, collage, enhanced stamping, rub-ons, die-cuts, some drawing and a tiny real feather. The earthy colours are from the natural colour of tea, Distress crayons, watercolour sprays, Tombow markers and Prismacolour pencils.
